As always, it's more about the player and the playing than the mic or amp. A bullet mic sounds like a bullet mic, the others you mention are good mics, but aren't bullet mics. Your best bet is to try different mics and see what you like. The "rich sound" is more about you than the equipment. Many of the great players don't use the standard harmonica mics, many will use what ever is available.

: I play blues harp, and would like to purchase a mic. I like the sound of the bullet types (Astatic, Green Bullet, etc) but wondered if the smaller Shaker types (Dynamic, Crystal, or Madcat) provide a more versitale and easier to handle alternative without giving up the rich sound. Any suggestions?
