I wish there was an easy solution, but I don't know of one. The Hohner HH-01 harmonica rack is one of the better around. The only harmonica pickup I know of is the Barcus-Berry one. I've owned one for years and use it extensively in the studio.
Try a search for the Barcus-Berry website and see if it is still available. I think rack and pickup is about it unless you want to get creative with a lapel mic. I don't remember how Levon Helm used to deal with miking, but he'd be one to check out as a harmonica playing drummer.

: I have a bit of a problem that I hope someone can help me out with. I play drums, sing vocals and recently have added harmonica. The typical $14.00 wire model harmonica holder is all I can find. Problem is, I need to play drums, sing and play harp which when trying to play against a mic on a boom stand is not doing the job. Also trying to adjust the harmonica holder so that I can sing over it is not giving me the comfort of doing both. I have looked around for a harmonica pickups, can't find one. I have looked for a harmonica holder that will do a better job than the typical $14.00 wire model, can't find anything. Any ideas?
