Cables for Harmonica Mics

Cables- Not all new microphones come with a cable included. You may need to pick up a cable to go with your mic. If you are playing or gigging regularly, it is always best to have at least one back up cable in case of problems.


Harmonica Mic Screw-On Connector Cable Harmonica Mic Screw-On Connector Cable (F-20)- This type of high-impedance cable with the SwitchCraft screw-on connector is necessary for some of the older style harmonica microphones like the classic Astatic JT-30 mic. The cable comes with Switchcraft 2501F to 1/4" male connectors, 20 gauge cord, and is 20 feet in length.
Lo-Z Microphone Cable Rapco XLR to 1/4" Mic Cable- 20 ft.; pin 2 "Hot" (M-20)- This is a 20 foot, high-impedance microphone cable (XLR-1/4" connectors w/ pin 2 "Hot") which allows you to plug a standard harmonica mic directly into a harmonica amp, guitar amplifier or PA system. Works great with any of the Shaker high impedance microphones that have an XLR connector (like the Shaker Retro Rocket).

Impedance transformer Low to High Impedance Mic-Line Transformer | XLR to 1/4"- Buy a Low-Z to Hi-Z Impedance Line Transformer with XLR to 1/4 inch connectors and 2" cable end. This transformer becomes necessary if you'd like to take a standard Low Impedance vocal or PA microphone and run it directly into a harmonica or guitar amp.
